Class of
1963 Class Project
Our goal for the
upcoming 45th Reunion is $45,000. Our secondary goal is to set an example
for Class participation in supporting the University. That means we’re
looking for as many classmates as we can get to contribute regardless of the
dollar amount. Our Class Gift will be designated as follows:

$45,000. in
memory of Vincent Hartgen, to name the faculty lounge in the
recently renovated Lord Hall (Art Dept. faculty offices, the Vincent
Hartgen classroom, student gallery, and art education labs.) Funds would
be used to renovate Alumni Hall, adjacent to Lord Hall and create the
“Wyeth Center”, for painting, drawing and photography studio space;

Scholarships
are a key part of keeping UMaine affordable. Our Class of ’63 scholarship
is a great example. Our funded donations are approximately $11,000 and
currently has a market value of $28,700; and,

Finally, there
are a host of other University of Maine academic, faculty, student, and
athletic, programs and projects that can be designated to receive our
financial support. Just designate your gift, where you feel most
comfortable and appropriate.
