Brett M. Brayley Brett Brayley
Hometown: Steep Falls, Maine
Major: Biology

Brett is a 4th year Biology major with a concentration in pre-dental medicine. Aside from studying, he is involved in many on-campus organizations such as R.E.A.C.H., Health Professions, and Med-life. He was a major contributor to the start up of a dental outreach program at UMaine, which provides dental presentations to local and rural daycares and schools educating the youth on the importance of dental health. Over Spring  Break 2008 he spent two weeks in Ecuador volunteering on a Conservation Biology Reserve with R.E.A.C.H. club. He also volunteers his time each summer on the Maine Medical Mission, traveling to northern Maine and working with immigrant workers. Brett is also a member of the Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity. Following graduation he plans on attending dental school with hopes of returning to Maine to set up  practice. Brett's hobbies include spending time outdoors, golf, baseball, basketball and spending time with good friends.

Brett is looking forward to his Senior year at UMaine and is excited to experience the good times with his Skull brothers.

Jason EremitaJason Eremita
Hometown: Bangor, Maine
Major: Civil Engineering

Jason is a civil engineering major with a concentration in structural design. Currently Jason is the vice president of his fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon, vice president of the Interfraternal Council, vice president of the UMaine Rollerhockey team, member of Order of Omega (Greek honor society), member of American Society of Civil Engineers, member of National Society for Collegiate Scholars, member of Chi Epsilon (Civil Engineering honor society), and member of Pi Mu Epsilon (mathematics honor society). While at the University of Maine, Jason has also been involved with the Sophomore Owls and volunteering for the UMaine men’s ice hockey team. Outside of school, Jason spends his time playing men’s league ice hockey and working for Verso Paper in Bucksport, Maine.

Jason is very proud to be a Senior Skull and looks forward to graduating in May 2009.

Anthony FeldpauschAnthony Feldpausch
Hometown: South Thomaston, Maine
Major: History

Anthony is a fourth year History major with minors in psychology and political science. He is currently the president of Alpha Delta service fraternity, member of Phi Alpha Theta history honors society, and a master Mason at Mechanics Lodge #66, Orono. During his time at UMaine, Anthony has been a Resident Assistant, Sophomore Owl, vice president of Colvin Hall HGB, and junior representative to Senior Council. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, hiking, reading, and watching the Red Sox. After graduation, Anthony plans on going to grad school for education and teaching high school history. He is looking forward to a great year with the Senior Skull Class of 2009, and is very proud to be a Skull!

Sean FitzsimonsSean Fitzsimons
Hometown: Turner. Maine
Major: Secondary Education

Sean is a fourth year secondary education major with a concentration in English. He transferred into the University of Maine last year and quickly fell in love with the school. In a short amount of time he has been a part of several student groups and has enjoyed immersing himself in the UMaine community Currently he is the president of Campus Crusade for Christ and the secretary for SEAM (Student Education Association of Maine). Sean enjoys camping and canoeing, reading and writing, philosophy and religion, and overall just good conversation.

After graduation Sean plans on teaching school in Maine, but is open to other possibilities. You never know where the world will take you!

Zackery FrechetteZackery Frechette
Hometown: Wilton, Maine
Major: Business Administration

Zack is a 4th year business administration major with a focus in management. He is the president of the Interfraternity Council, treasurer of Order of Omega, a student senator, and proud to be the Vice President of the Senior Skulls class of ’09. While at UMaine Zack has been the treasurer and secretary for the IFC. He has also been the president of his fraternity, Phi Eta Kappa and the athletic and academic chairman. He was a member of Spiffy and a Greek Peer Educator. Recently Zach returned from a trip to China where he learned about the culture and studied international business. After college he plans to attend graduate school to attain his M.B.A.

Zack is very proud to be a Senior Skull and is looking forward to a ‘fratastic’ senior year.

Mark GonyarMark Gonyar
Hometown: Orrington, Maine
Major: Chemical Engineering

Mark is a fourth year Chemical and Biological Engineering double major. He has been actively involved in campus activities such as Student Senate, vice president of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, treasurer of Balentine Hall Governing Board, undergraduate member of the Cultural Affairs and Distinguished Lecturer Series, and a volunteer tour guide. Mark enjoys spending the majority of his time with his brothers in Sigma Phi Epsilon, and has devoted much of his undergraduate career to his fraternity. He has held the positions of vice president of programming, vice president of membership development, and vice president of communications. In his spare time Mark enjoys photography, spending time with friends and family, and enjoying the great outdoors.

Mark is very proud to be a Senior Skull Class of 2009 and is ecstatic about celebrating UMaine traditions with his Skull brothers.

Jameson HardyJameson Hardy
Hometown: Veazie, Maine
Major: Biology

Jamie is a fourth year Biology major and, like Brett, has a concentration in Pre-Dental medicine. He is the current President of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity, member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society, and is proud to be President of his Senior Skull class of 2009. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf, hockey, baseball, snowboarding, and hanging out with his Skull and Beta brothers. After graduating Jamie plans to attend Tufts University School of Dental medicine, followed (hopefully!) by Tufts Graduate School of Orthodontics. Jamie is very proud to be a Senior Skull and is looking forward to a fantastic senior year at the University of Maine.

Carlisle (Kyle) Knowlton Kyle Knowlton
Hometown: Camden, ME
Major: Mechanical Engineering

Kyle will be entering his fifth year as mechanical engineering student in the fall of 2008. He recently completed an eight month co-op for Sappi Fine Papers' Westbrook, Maine mill, where he worked on many different engineering projects relating to the paper industry. Kyle is proud to be the treasurer of the Skulls class of 2009. He is a very active brother of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, having held the executive positions of recruitment, secretary, and treasurer. He has been involved with campus organizations including the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, TAPPI/ PIMA, and was previously a Sophomore Owl.

After graduating in 2009 Kyle plans on moving out of Maine to pursue a career in engineering, possibly in the pulp and paper industry. Some of his favorite activities include skiing, golfing, working on his car, and singing the Stein Song with his fellow Skull brothers. Kyle is looking forward to his last year in school and is proud to serve the University of Maine and continue its many traditions.

Justin LabonteJustin Labonte
Hometown: Lewiston, Maine
Major: Business Administration

Justin Labonte is a fourth year business administration major with concentrations in accounting and management. He is currently the vice president of financial affairs for Student Government, Inc. as well as the chief financial officer of Alpha Kappa Psi, UMaine’s professional business fraternity. Before holding these positions, Justin was very involved in Residents On Campus, where he served as a ROC representative for Stodder Hall, as vice president, and most recently as president. He also spent three years in the General Student Senate, serving as a student senator and sitting on several committees and cabinets. Justin was the president of the Sophomore Owls class of 2007 and served as a junior representative to the Senior Council in 2008. After graduation, Justin plans to attend graduate school to attain his M.B.A. and further pursue his career in business.

Justin is proud to be a Senior Skull and looks forward to an eventful senior year with his Skull Brothers.

Robert ParadisRob Paradis
Hometown: Londonderry, New Hampshire
Major: Landscape Horticulture

Rob is a 4th year landscape horticulture major with a concentration in design. He is a Midshipman First Class at the Naval ROTC Unit on campus and is a proud brother of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He also works as a Group Fitness Instructor at the Campus Recreation Center. Rob has served on the standards board of SigEp and has held various leadership positions in NROTC, such as 1st Squad Leader and Academics Officer. Rob will be serving as the Bravo Company Commanding Officer in the fall and looks forward to improving the NROTC Unit with the help of his fine staff and plans to make it better than it’s been in semesters' past. Upon graduation in the spring of 2009 he will be commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps and will train to lead the greatest warriors in the world.

Rob is looking forward to a great senior year with his Skull Brothers and is hoping that it doesn’t go by too fast.

Ken Wicks"Little Kenny" Wicks
Hometown: Bangor, Maine
Major: Civil Engineering

Ken Wicks is a fourth year civil engineering major from Bangor, Maine. After graduating he plans to continue his education either in graduate school or law school. Ken is a member of the Delta Tau Delta international fraternity and has held the positions of secretary, sergeant-at-arms, social chair, director of recruitment, and assistant pledge educator. Ken has also been a mentor for the engineering program helping students who had trouble in high school but have demonstrated skills that could lead warrant them as engineers.

Ken's biggest hobby is whitewater kayaking and he has worked as a raft guide for the past three summers. Along with rafting, he has enjoyed self-employment as a successful video boater on the Ocoee River in southeastern Tennessee. Ken enjoys everything outdoors including snowboarding, skiing, whitewater kayaking, hiking and camping. Ken has traveled to Canada, Ecuador and Costa Rica to kayak. He enjoys watching all New England sports including the Maine Black Bears.

Ken looks forward to his senior year carrying on the many long-held traditions of the Senior Skull Society.

William "Bill" YatesBilly Yates
Hometown: Raymond, Maine
Majors: French & Biology

Bill is a fifth year student majoring in French and Biology, with a minor in Mathematics. While at UMaine, he has been a part of many organizations, but has devoted most of his time to a select few. Bill has been a very active member of the University Volunteer Ambulance Corps (UVAC), where he continues to volunteer as an Intermediate Emergency Medical Technician. He earned UVAC's Rookie of the Year award and has since served as a Crew Chief, a driver trainer, and an assistant Chief of Service. Bill was also a resident assistant for two years, helping the residents of Stodder Hall along their paths at UMaine, and he has spent many very enjoyable hours singing with the Black Bear Men's Chorus and Mixed Nuts A Cappella group. He is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and, more recently, the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. Bill is a graduate of North Yarmouth Academy, where he served as Vice President of Student Council, was a captain of the Volleyball and Track & Field teams, was inducted into the Cum Laude Society, and earned his Eagle Scout Award. During what little free time he has, Bill enjoys hikes in the Maine wilderness, bike rides on and off road, whitewater rafting, and whenever possible, a good round of table tennis.

Bill will be studying abroad in France during the fall 2008 semester and, sadly, will be away from his Skull brothers during that time. However, he is very proud to be a Senior Skull and plans to return to Orono full of energy to make Spring 2009 a productive and memorable semester!
